This is Epcot's best/worst kept secret. We rarely make it "around the world" when Mexico is our first stop. It's a great escape from the park to cool off in this small corner bar. Their margaritas and sangria although pricey are spot on. One is normally enough. (Then again when is one ever enough? More tequila please!) Their queso, salsa and guac is the best. You're only shorting yourself if you don't get all three. The only reason this is short of a five star is the lines you have to wait during peak season. Which of course not their fault.

One of my favorite hidden gems in Disney! Located in the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase, La Cava del Tequila is totally worth stopping in. We usually duck into Mexico to escape either the rain or the heat, and this refreshing spot does the trick. There's a very long list of tequilas to choose from - the best way to approach this is to get a flight. On my first visit a few years ago when they first opened, they had a deal for a free flight if you followed them on Twitter. Don't think that's necessary anymore since they have a huge following now! There's also a great selection of margaritas - some that you would never think of! Our favorites are the avocado margarita (sounds odd, looks odd, tastes amazing!) and the coffee mezcal margarita - both frozen. Perfect for a super hot, humid July afternoon! We also liked the pineapple and classic margaritas as well. We've never eaten here, but they have a selection of small plates - mainly chips and dips. If you haven't yet found this little hole in the wall - go looking!

Forget the Margarita stand outside! They may look fun, but they're pre-made out of the machine and nowhere near as good. Definitely go inside the Pavilion and check out the Tequila Bar. It is pretty small, but there are some tables inside; even if the bar looks packed, there may still be some room. Great place for an afternoon drink and snack. The Avocado Margarita is actually sweet and refreshing, it's worth a try. They have a huge selection.

I loved this tequila bar in Epcot! I definitely would have missed it if I didn't realize that it was inside of the pyramid in the Mexican area. My boyfriend and I tried the pomegranate margarita, and it was wonderful! They had so many great options to choose from that we didn't know where to start. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone of age in Epcot!

If you're in Epcot and you are an adult and you don't have kids (hell, maybe you do) you're going to want to drink. Why? Every different country features the respective booze of said country. And of course Mexico has some of the best drinks. As expected. This particular place has a ton of different tequilas and margaritas. You can get tequila flights, too, or straight shots. The best margarita was the avacado one, though they were all very good. Word of advice - it gets crowded and the line can be out the door. Do your best to get here at an off time or expect a wait. 67/365

If you're drinking around the world, skip the pre-made frozen margaritas at the stand and check out La Cava. Seriously. It is the reason I start DATW in Mexico, despite my affinity for French and Italian wines. Sure, you can take a shot of one of their many beautifully expensive tequilas or order something off the menu, but don't be afraid to try something that may sound weird. For example, a horchata margarita. A beautiful blend of everything awesome in life (yes, I mean high quality tequila), plus extra points for authentic horchata with cinnamon, this drink was not something I would have ever conceived as delectable, but holy cow, party in my mouth!! Make no mistake-- I love me some tequila. So perhaps that is why this place has been an amazing find that no one seems to know about. Service is always consistent and polite, and I love chatting with the bartenders in my horrible Spanish. The only down side is that it is in the pyramid, so if you don't want to leave smelling like Mexican food, don't linger.

This is a nice cool place to sit and have a drink without kids everywhere. And anyone who brings their little ones to a tequila is one dumb parent, in my opinion. They've limited the menu here and now only do chips and salsa but they still have the gfreat tequila selection. We like the flights so we can sample, but every now and then we spurge on a nicely aged tequila and just enoy the cool air, calmness and the sipping tequilas. It's small and elbow to elbow at the tables so be prepared to mingle and talk with others. The blood orange margarita is delicious with a nice chili rim and the avocado margarita is nothing like you'd expect!

La Cava is a must stop on every trip because who, beside me, isn't crazy about Margaritas? Every single one of my friends rant and rave about the Margaritas, although a bit on the pricey side, and I love the Sangria. I did have one horrible experience with the orange juice in my Tequila Sunrise from this location. While drinking it I thought the drink tasted a bit odd, however I had never had it before so I finished it. Within the next hour I started feeling very ill and I can only assume it was due to spoiled orange juice. Other than the spoiled orange juice my only other complaint is the service. They always take a while to get you your check and the times when I asked advice or about drinks they always seem annoyed.

I was very happy with my recent visit to la cava del tequila. I can tell they took my comments from my last visit and used them to improve. Not only was all the service pleasant, they even offered to split checks - something they refused to do last time. Bravo. It was still really crowded and there was a long wait for a table but that isn't really their fault - it is just a popular place. I loved the horchata drink. It was a very tasty treat.

If you're trying to beat the heat or escape the mid-afternoon, summer monsoons at Epcot, look no further than La Cava del Tequila. Located in the "ruins" in the Mexico Pavilion, this tiny tequila cave offers an extensive tequila and margarita selection. A few highlights: -Tequila flights: A must if you're with a group and can share -Jalapeno margarita: My favorite, as it's refreshing, rather than sweet, with bold cucumber and subtle heat -Avacado margarita: Very tasty... a better option if you're looking for a sweet treat... more like a dessert, IMO This place can get VERY busy during Food & Wine fest and later in the evening, so be patient. Camp out for 10 minutes and a table is sure to become available. The only negative here is that it's a very tiny venue, so again, it can get busy/crowded very fast. While you're in the "ruins," be sure to check out the Donald Duck boat ride, located about 50 feet from La Cava del Tequila. Really chill ride, but funny and another great way to escape the heat. It's much more enjoyable after a tequila flight. But be forewarned, you cannot take your beverage on the ride.

I love going to Epcot. I prefer exploring the food and drinks over rides and this park has a lot of great choices to do so. One of my favorite places to stop in for a drink while I'm at Epcot is at La Cava Del Tequila. I've been a number of times and I have found the weekends can be a bit crazy, though sometimes the crowd can add to the fun. You can wait in line to order something from the bar to go, or try and get seated at one of the few table in the bar. If you do find yourself visiting on a crowded day and you want to sit and enjoy your drink but there's a wait for a table, get your drink to go and enjoy it on the patio out front of the Mexican Pavilion. It is nice when you can visit when it's not overflowing with people. There's nothing like sitting back with a delicious margarita and taking in the scenery. I usually go with the Avocado Margarita which happens to be their most popular concoction. There is a small snack menu and we often enjoy an order of their tasty chips & salsa while sipping on our drinks. I've had a few other margaritas from the menu and been able to sample others while visiting with friends. While I've enjoyed most that I have tried the Pineapple Margarita is not one I found all that tasty. If you happen to be in the lounge when it's not that crowded, sit back and enjoy the many details that go into making it a unique watering hole at Walt Disney World. While I wish I could stop by more often, the $14 margaritas are a bit of a splurge that I like to indulge in occasionally. La Cava del Tequila is one of my favorite destinations in Disney to enjoy a drink. Cheers!

Nice Patron tequila and they make super quick margaritas. It's great if you need to get drunk on the run. It's a bit dark and they sell trinkets just like the real Mexico! Whoa!

  • Daniel M.

Welcome to the best margaritas, not just at EPCOT, but in Florida. Great ingredients and great twists on the traditional recipe if you're into that sort of thing. If you're a lime margarita purist like me, you also will not be disappointed. Why only 4 stars? There are three reasons: 1) These great margaritas will set you back about $15 each. Ouch. 2) The location is overly crowded and noisy. 3) It has the highest fedora-wearing brah to normal person ratio of any place on Disney property. If you can get a seat, the chips and queso are very good.

This is by far my favorite spot to escape in all of WDW. It's cozy. Great service. And THE BEST margaritas in the entire world, literally. I highly recommend the cucumber and avacado margaritas. Love this place.

This gem is hidden away inside the Mexican pyramid in Epcot's World Showcase. On our way to the Three Amgios attraction inside we happened upon this quant bar, a few seats on one side and a bar at the entrance. We were caught off guard we had no idea what to drink and the bartenders were great help. We told them our likes and dislikes and they found the perfect drinks for us. They even suggested an interesting blend of beer and salsa that i hadn't heard of, but that my brother knew of from a trip to Mexico, which was the ciamato. Let me tell you, their salsa was a drink in itself! the bartender handed us a shot glass of what we would soon find out to be salsa just to help us better understand the drink and it was a kick in the taste buds. I can't wait to go back and just chug a whole bowl of their salsa. Their margaritas are their signature and they don't let down. Their strong and tasty. You'll find nearly any tropical fruit mixed into them even the tamarind fruit which makes one of the best margaritas.

3.6 in my book and unfortunately if I would have written a review the very first couple of times I had gone this would be a 5 star. The concept was great but over the last few years it has received a downgrade in quality. First and foremost the drinks are not served to order anymore, they have already premixed everything. This is probably due to volume and how small the place is. You don't receive all of the garnishes anymore and it varies with when you go. Sometimes you get none. Don't expect a made to order cocktail at peak park seasons or at the Epcot Food and Wine fest. The prices are still high and they have an 18 percent gratuity suggestion when you are just getting on cocktail. They have taken away all food items but your basic chips and salsa. The reason this rates so high in my book is because even though you pay a bit more they drinks are consistently better than the frozen margarita stand outside and you have an option of tequila flights. My favorite drink from there is the Blood Orange Margarita but again quality seems to vary per trip. Truth be told if this was anywhere else in Orlando I would rate it a bit lower but this is a solid option for drinking around the world at Epcot and one that you might not want to miss. My advice is go in the off season, avoid the long lines and you'll probably get a better drink.

The horchata margarita was awesome! So was the tequila flight! A tad too pricey, but aye it's vacation! The guacamole was bland, but add a lil lime and its better. The ambiance in here is pretty cool, it's defiantly a hidden gem! Come on folks I saw multiple people not tip in here. Yet this was like the second best service we had in Disney !

A must go-to place for adults while in Epcot! This place is small and cramped but has great service and the hugest selection of margaritas/tequila I've ever seen. They only offer chips/dip for food, so don't come here if you're hungry. We tried the Trio (chips with guac, queso, and salsa) and I liked all 3. The salsa was spicy which is a big bonus. The non-alcoholic drink (strawberry pina colada smoothie) was delicious! Great for a warm day =)

The only reason I buy an annual pass, period. Tequila and chips. What's not to love? A must visit.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. Service: good but not great Tequila selection: one if the best I've found anywhere Pricing: As someone who knows how much those bottles cost the establishment (unless they get discounts for buying in bulk), I'll just say ouch Atmosphere: Meh A concept that could easily be five stars but could also easily fall back to three if not cared for and nurtured.

Cucumber margarita, yes please! This tiny little tequila bar tucked in the Mexico Pavillion inside where the Donald Me-he-koh ride is, is pretty rad! I just love being inside this place, dim lighting, feels like you are on the streets at night time in some little town and everyone is just having a good time. Each time I walk by or stop into La Cava del Tequila, it's always JAM PACKED! There is minimal seating and a tiny little bar where you basically just order and go but some people like to stand there and sip their tequila flights... yes, tequila flights... I KNOW, right? YUM! This time around I was tipped off to a cucumber margarita on the rocks with salt, and this was just when I thought the phrase "tequila bar" couldn't get any better. Well, this cucumber margarita was so refreshing and had tons of fresh cucumber in it to chomp on along with the luscious taste of the tequila. I was very happy! Next time I may have to show up uber early, claim a spot with some great friends and spend a couple hours here trying all the yummo liquid! However, I'll have to save up mucho dinero since it is Disney pricing (aka $14/margarita, regular size).

Awesome margaritas inside the pyramid. Skip the margaritas outside - it's worth the wait. We waited probably 10 minutes on a Friday at 7 pm. The frozen avocado margarita was fantastic. So smooth, I didn't even taste the tequila. Best drink of the night! Super friendly bartenders.

We actually didn't know this was here, and as we were walking out, my husband spotted this. I had seen the menu online, and just didn't see it. It's a very small, very much like a little cave, hence the "cava" name I suppose. We got our drinks and sat in the pavillion. I ordered the wild passion fruit margarita and my husband got the blood orange margarita. They were both delicious - but we agreed that the wild passion fruit one topped the blood orange one. They are made well - topped with fruit foam which is amazing and rimmed in a great salt. I love salt with margaritas and ate it off both mine and my husbands to drink with. It was well worth the expense, Disney has expensive, albeit delicious alcohol.

After picking up a bar tab of $76 in less than 20 minutes. I guess the free shot I got for it being my birthday, was only slightly free. However, I am not complaining, because this is a Tequila bar from the Disney gawds. I experienced Pantida Blanco shots ($12 each) here. I told the tender that I wanted something smooth and he truly delivered. My friend went with a 1 year old Scorpion mezcal ($10). It wasn't so smooth, but we all took a couple of shots and then left with a few margaritas. They have a salsa chaser, that we were given the recipe for and I'm looking forward to making it for friends. I went with the cucumber margarita ($12.50 each), and while I'm hooked on cucumber martinis, the margaritas...NOT SO MUCH, maybe I would have like it more, but the smushed cucumber and mint just was to much for me. My friend got a Passion Fruit Margarita ($12.50) and it was delish! Located in the Mexican pavilion in Disney World Epcot and if you like tequila, you MUST put this on your list of places to wander into. I can only hope to return!

Very cool Tequila bar inside the Mexico Pavillion, EPCOT, Disney World, Orlando, Fl. They have a ton of different kinds of tequilas and margaritas. Always a good spot. Can't wait til next time.

We cannot leave Epcot without passing by La Cava! Minus 1 star for the long line. The Avocado Margarita is delicious!! And the San Angel Inn Margarita is very strong! Love this place! Cheers!

Very busy during peak hours and large events (food and wine fest, Flower and Garden). The jalapeño margarita is the best! The hot pepper salt is killer!

This is my favorite tequila bar in the world, no joke. Look, for my dad and me, tequila is more than a beverage-- it's a sport. We spend a good hunk of our time together perusing tequila bar after tequila bar, tasting everything we haven't seen until our stomachs doth protest. We live in Chicago, so it's a pretty good place for tequila to be your activity of choice. We thought we had just about figured tequila out when we discovered Zocalo (a great place here in Chicago) but then, we discovered La Cava del Tequila. This place is amazing. The selection of tequila is incredible. Their margaritas are creative and mindblowing (the avocado margarita and the coffee margarita were my favorites). The tequila flights are generous. The service there is downright wonderful. We love La Cava del Tequila. We cannot wait to go back. I dream of their flavored tequila flight and pine for their coffee margarita. I spent countless hours trying to reproduce their margaritas, but alas, to no avail. It is a magical place within a magical place (because Disney World, after all, is the most magical place on earth). Oh, Cava del Tequila, how I miss you! How I long for the sweet, sweet juice of your fine tequila to flow through me once more. In short, go here. Go here if you ever get the chance because, like I mentioned before, it is magical. +1 for having incredible ambiance, as well. Almost forgot to mention that because I was so distracted thinking of their tequila. But seriously, the wall murals/ art are not to be missed.

Definitely my favorite bar on Disney property. One of the few places in Epcot you can enter and forget you're still in Orlando. The menu includes a long list of margaritas and tequilas, as well as a few appetizers. The margaritas are little pricier than the pre-made ones sold outside in world showcase, but there's also a noticeable rise in quality. The only downside is the size. During busy seasons it may be hard to find a place to sit as there's only a handful of tables. Most guests seem to wait in line at the bar and get their drinks to go (which you are more than welcome to do), but I find it fun to sit down for a while and take in the atmosphere. Make sure you try the frozen avocado margarita. It sounds horrible, but it's possibly the best alcoholic beverage I've ever tasted.

We frequent Disney, especially when it comes around time of Food and Wine. Epcot is by far one of our favorite theme parks. You have booze, great food, and during Food and Wine, it's double the food and booze. La Cava del Tequila is one of our favorite stops in Epcot, no matter the time in the day. They have the best variety of tequilas and margaritas. If you ever hit this spot up, go for the Avocado Margarita. I was skeptical at first, but after several visits... I went for it this weekend. This will definitely be my new go to at La Cava del Tequila. Don't miss out!

WOW! This has to be the funnest bar in EPCOT, inside Mexico. ¡Arrrrrrrrrrriba! We have the annual pass to epcot so during the season here in Florida we exercise by walking fast throughout the countries 4x a week. Though every county has its own cultural bar & restaurant, our break stop is always here in this little fantastic tequila bar. Not being a tequila drinker, I had no idea there were so many tequila flavors. I've tried: cucumber, avocado, almond, melon, mango, mint, vanilla & other flavored tequilas, now I'm an expert. The bar tenders are there to help you decide your favorite taste, teach how to drink tequila shots correctly or can make you any yummy margarita. I love my unique bartenders, Pepe, Jaime, Fran, Jose, etc.... And they love this Cuban-American. Here's to my favorite team, ¡Cheers - Salud!

Even though I live across the country in California, I am a devotee and fan of La Cava Del Tequila, an awesome margarita and tequila (+ mezcal) bar inside the Mexico Pavilion at the Walt Disney World Epcot World Showcase. There is a wide selection of Margaritas... I don't think I've tried them all, yet, but the many I have had were all spectacular. Also they offer a good selection of Tequilas, along with a few tasting flights. Again, another must do. Even if you are on the fence about tequila, I think the experience warrants a try! The service has always been friendly. During the food and wine festival things can get a bit hectic. But on regular days, the bartenders are extra friendly and willing to answer any questions or share margarita-making secrets with you. My brother is a big tequila fan and frequents places that specialize in tastings... he was impressed with the selection and gave his tequila-informed stamp of approval, too. Mmmmm. One last hint... grab a margarita to enjoy while watching Illuminations.

There is no place better to start your "Drinking around the world" trip than here in Mexico. The place is incredibly small and tucked away on the right side of the pavilion and honestly gives one of the best ambiances of all the dining and drinking experiences in the park. The dim lighting is a win. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and very, very friendly. (I mean, it's Disney, but these guys are pretty sincere.) This place has some of the best tequila I've ever had, it's pretty affordable compared to other tequila bars I've been to, and their flights are fantastic. Big fan. They're ahead of the curve on the social network experience. Between the twitter specials they offer and their check in specials on Foursquare, they can't be beat. Love this place and I love their salsa. Not to be missed when visiting the park!

LOVE this place! I'm a tequila gal. It's 2014 and they don't have as much food as they used to back in 2012. They used to have the best appetizers. Now it's pretty much chips and salsa. The drinks are excellent though.

Amazing place! My crew started visiting in 2012 and we are obsessed! Great little bar with amazing Margaritas! We set up trips to come and instead of saying "Yay we are going to Disney!!!" We say "Yay we are going to La Cava Del Tequila!!!" We always have a great time here! The one little low table with the Tequila Barrels for Seats is our Table! The Midnight Blue Margarita is AKA "Jet Fuel" lol We love this place and cannot wait to come back! Hilda and Pepe you guys rock! I love walking into the Pyramid, and making that first right into La Cava!

I secretly wish this could have stayed a hidden hideaway but I knew that it's popularity would grow since it's so amazing. Finally some authentic margaritas and drinks and none of that fake stuff that they sell outside at the frozen margarita booth. La Cava is always the first stop for us when we get to World Showcase. Every single thing I've had, whether it's drinks, tequila flights, or appetizers has been amazing. I like the 'different' margaritas and I've been rotating between the avocado, jalapeno, and anything else that's slightly spicy. My friends love the blood orange margarita. If you stand at the bar, the bartenders are amazing and SO knowledgeable. They genuinely love what they do and, as long as it's not a madhouse, will sit and explain everything and the history of the tequila. The tequila sampler is a great way to start off an adventure through World Showcase. Ask the waitress/bartender to explain the differences if they don't. If it's NOT busy, ask to try a margarita sampler. Tiny shots of different margaritas, AWESOME. However it's not on the menu because if it gets busy, they don't have time to make them. We've had a few apps and the guac is always a winner. Definitely fresh and delicious! Yes, some of the drinks are expensive but you're paying not only for the great ingredients, but realize you're at Disney.

Incredible tequila bar with huge selection and great custom margaritas. Highly recommend the Horchata and Blood Orange margaritas. The tequila flight is also good. Small place and not much food offered, but the guacamole is great. If you are from Southern California, this place feels like home.

Awesome hidden gem in Mexico! Wow, double wow. I'm so glad that Disney decided to use this space for good. The Margaritas rock. If you are feeling adventurous, try the Jalepeno margarita.. Knocked off one star since the lines get very long and you have to wait to get your drink on...

I always try to stop here when I'm in Disney World as their margaritas are second-to-none. I usually go for the cucumber margarita, very refreshing and DELICIOUS. The bartenders are friendly and quick. My only problem here is that the people that sit in here seem to take forever. There isn't much seating but it seems to always been taken when we stop in which forces us to either walk and enjoy our margarita or sit elsewhere outside of the bar which stinks because it's such a cool place. I wish they'd scrap the tables and have more standing area so that more people could enjoy the environment. The prices are pretty high too, about $30 including tip for two, to be expected in Disney World, but for as pricey as they are they don't seem to have too much tequila in them but that doesn't stop them from tasting great. My wife had the traditional which was a bit stronger (still had a great taste) but it seemed like hers was a lot stronger than mine. I'll be back again but will likely be trying something a bit stronger.

Always have an excellent experience here, but last night our service was unparalleled. The margaritas here are a little on the pricy side but are perfectly balanced and delicious every time. My favorites are the cucumber and the avocado. Before I discovered the excellence of this place, I would always get a margarita from the stand outside, but La Cava's are far superior and well worth the couple extra dollars.

Jalapeno Margarita. I tend to gravitate towards the spicy, so my eye was immediately drawn to this gem that is hidden in the pages of the drink menu. My companions gasped with horror and tried to convince me that this drink was a bad idea, however I did not succumb to peer pressure and continued with my order. A few minutes later, my drink arrived. It was love at first sip. Slightly spicy from the large strips of, cleaned, jalapeno pepper, slightly cool from the chunks of cucumber, sweet from the agave nectar and a stress relaxer from the tequila. One was enough to put me in a very happy place. Next time I'm bringing a designated driver! Also got an order of chips and guacamole. Super fresh and nicely seasoned guac with fresh & hot chips. This bar is not for the claustrophobic. It's small, dark, crowded and has low ceilings. It's also super loud.... For the non-tequila drinkers, a full line of other alcoholic beverages are available!

Awesome tequilas and margaritas! Enough said. This place has delicious and some unique margaritas. I would definitely recommend the avocado and the jalapeno ones, YUM! This place is in the pyramid located in the Mexico portion of the Epcot. Once you are in the pyramid head toward the back and stick to the right of the stairs you will run into the bar. They usually have a menu of the selection of margaritas they have available. There isn't really a place to sit down, unless you talk to the waitress and are willing to wait for a bit.

Tequila Tequila everywhere! This small but fun 'cave' located in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot is a great place to learn about Tequila. La Cava has been open for about a year now and it replaced a retail store that was in that same spot. I am sure the management at Disney is happy with the change since it is always busy and they seem to be doing very well. I have been there about a dozen times now and always enjoy my brief stays. Normally I make my way up to the bar... get a cocktail or try a Tequila Fight... and then head out. Twice I have gone in and had a seat at one of the tables inside. You end up spending a lot more time if you sit but you also spend a lot more money. Drinks are pricy... $12 and up for most. They used to have three types of Tequila fights but now only have one and that is $18 dollars. The three Tequilas you get range from light to dark... rough to smooth... and you only get a .5 oz shot of each even though the glass makes it look like a full shot... its not. If you want full shots, just order a shot of the one you like but again, they range in price depending on age and smoothness. I do like their Blood Orange Margarita! Always a great drink. They did have a special today... a Mango Margarita. It was good but I wish it had a bit more Tequila in it. All in all, it is a fun place to stop for a drink... just remember that it is all Disney prices and Disney pours! ;-)

I am highly disappointed that they no longer carry the flashing LED ice cubes. That said, the margaritas are still among the best I have had anywhere.

Years ago I was young and foolish and despite the fact that I worked for a Mexican company, I was an ignorant fool and knew nothing about good tequila, thus, my only memories about tequila were ungodly headaches from getting drunk on cheap tequila. I don't get drunk anymore, much less on cheap tequila, but I do enjoy a good tequila ...or several. La Cava del Tequila is fantastic !!! it is a bonus of course that it is located in one of my favorite places in the world -EPCOT !! and epcot always looks and feels better after consuming a few choice tequilas. This place ROCKS !!!!

La Cava is an oasis tucked away in my favorite Epcot country, Mexico. It's always packed, so it's best just to wander up to the bar, marvel at all the tequila bottles (we laughed at one shaped like a giant wang), and order to go. I ordered the Blood Orange Margarita. I really didn't taste blood orange so much as I tasted salt, but it was very strong and I was soon very tipsy (I'm a lightweight when it comes to tequila). My friend ordered the Blue Margarita, which tasted surprisingly like mine. Whatever. We both sat by the fountain, felt drunk and laughed at the shoppers knocking over huge sombreros and people who had absolutely no control over their kids. It was the highlight of the day, and life was good. The quality was evident after we left. I felt fine, but insisted on ordering one of the frozen margaritas at a vendor outside. It was full of sugar, too sweet, and within a few minutes I was feeling sick. If you're going to drink in Mexico, stick with La Cava or face Montezuma's revenge.

Tucked away on the right side of the mexican market, La Cava holds way too much tequila for its own good - and yours. Shots range from about $9 to over $40, and cover the reposado, the anejos, the silvers, the infused, and everything in between. They also have a weird selection including egg nog and frangelico (which they tried to pawn off on us as "free shots with purchase" - no thanks). There is a selection of margaritas as well as the shots and flights of shots, and I have to say the Jalapeno is delicious! They have classics, but also dabble in the more exotic with hibiscus, avocado, blood orange, etc. Apparently some of the margaritas are premade with the alcohol already, so you can't switch the tequilas out (but they do offer a "double shot"). We also tried the infused flight - and for the price of four ($21) I did not expect to get four overflowing glasses full of tequila (i was thinking maybe 1/2 - 3/4 full shots, since alone they each cost $10). Upon trying them, I realized why they just needed to get rid of the stuff. The jalapeno is good, the hibiscus is interesting, the tropical was not awful, but the cocoa was downright nasty. Luckily, they made the ones we didn't hate into margaritas for free. The food menu is fairly basic, lots of chips and dips (we tried the trio and the queso and the guac are both good - the salsa was not our favorite), crab tostadas, and a few other options. The service is great, at the bar (standing room only) or at the table, and everyone in there is ready for a good time. So if you need a break from the heat, or a break from your kids, I'd say stop in! (they do have one big table/sitting area that accommodates larger groups/families, but it was almost always taken)

La Cava is my favorite bar in Epcot.. I live in Miami and try to go here as often as possible because it's that good. Pepe, the bartender is awesome! If you love tequila, like me, this is a place you should check out. Ask for the tequila flights!

Jalapeno Margarita. (enough said) Okay, not really enough....but here's the deal: I wanted to visit here since it opened, what, two years ago, but never got around to it, then moved away. This weekend, I was in town for the Princess Half Marathon and knew that had to change! I was sooo ready to order the Avocado Margarita (sounded so crazy amazing) but to my chagrin, it was SOLD OUT that day!!! WHATTT!!?!??! I cried just a little (okay, kidding...a lot) before deciding on jalapeno instead....I consoled myself with free chips and salsa (from following La Cava on twitter!) and just had a great, chill time.

This is a pure oasis in a land filled with running and screaming children. You can just get away, have some tequila (which you need after crosing a land filled with running and screaming children) or chill with a nicely done margarita and re-charge your energies. It's built like a little cave, dark and inviting, super cozy I wish it had a bit more seating because I dont blame the people who hog the seating, attempting to cool off from the Florida heat with an ice cold cucumber margarita. The passion fruit one is also SUPER tasty. I've yet to taste a bad one.

Make way for the mezcal! La Cava is such a treasure and a must-visit for tequila, mezcal, and margarita afficionadoes. Tequila flights, mezcal flights, and the absolutely supremely awesome jalapeño and avocado margarita are the highlights of this joint located inside the Mexican pyramid. Don't bother with the margaritas from ouside, these are the real deal! This is the suggested first stop for the "drink around the world" participants, by the way. You want to start with a bang in Mexico! I haven't tried any of the snacks here as I prefer the nachos and guac from La Cantina De San Angel.

Good little bar in epcot that has a good selection of tequilas. It has a great lounge area but it was really busy when i went, we couldn't find a place to sit or stand and the line was really long so we had to buy and keep it moving. Don't try the avocado margarita! I had high hopes but it's terrible. The regular margaritas are good.

This place is great. EPCOT Mexico is such a neat place already, this tequila bar puts it at the top of our must-go list. They've got a great selection of drinks and the servers are so friendly and know their stuff. Aylen, who served us last time, had suggested a beer "Mexican style", meaning they add their special salsa made in-house. It was surprisingly tasty! However they make their salsa really complements the flavors in the beer. Chat it up with your servers. Not only do they have great food & drink suggestions, there's a pretty good chance that they're actually from Mexico and enjoy sharing stories of home.

Need directions? Enter the Mexican Pavilion (go Inside) and walk along the right side, you can't miss it. Need a reason? Tequila at EPCOT. 'Nough said. Suggestion? Cucumber and/or Jalapeño. You can thank me later. Hungry? The chips and guac are solid and affordable. The decor of the place is amazing. Dimly lit with comfortable community seating, it makes for a great stop on your international drinking experience. The bartenders are more than cheery (they want them tips, ie: your money), and will gladly suggest one or seven to try. Become a Twitter follower and get a free shot of Tequila or a free chips and salsa! By far the coolest little place in EPCOT.

Disney. Mexican Tapas. Tequila Bar. Heaven? Yes! This gem can be found inside the Mexico world showcase at Epcot. It's tucked off to the side, dimly lit, romantic atmosphere... okay maybe not THAT romantic but the tequila just does things to your brain, ya git me? There's 70 different kinds of tequila, some pretty good Mexican bites (that are way better and cheaper than the big restaurant in the Mexico pavilion). My date (that got even sexier with each sip I took) and I enjoyed some delicious Tequila bevs and some and some yummo ceviche so I could hold my liquor while I attempted to tour the park. A must do if you're of age and looking for quick warm up. :)

This tiny tequila bar is located inside the Mexican pavilion at EPCOT. They have 70 different types of tequila that you can get in shots, flights of shots or margaritas. We've had a couple different margaritas, and they've all been fantastic, if just a little pricey (to be expected, you're at Disney, after all). The tapas are reasonably priced and all taste great. Much better than we had expected. So why only 4 stars? First, location. Yes, it's Mexican themed, and so fits inside the Mexican pavilion. But this place needs to be outside of EPCOT. They'd make a killing if they put this place somewhere you didn't have to pay $70 just to get into. Second, size. The first time we went was during the food and wine festival. The tables (which there are not many of) were roped off for a food tasting occurring soon, so you could only order drinks at the bar. The bar is about 10-15 feet long. The bar was full, and the line was out the door. If you want more than one drink, or ordered a tequila flight, you really want to stay there. Of course, that means that everyone else has to wait for someone to leave. The tables were open on our second visit, but there were still people hovering at times waiting for one to open. Third, service. The bartenders are good, and make strong drinks, even if they're not the friendliest or most talkative bunch. When we went, there was only one waiter - which seems reasonable considering there are only about 7 tables. But he was so slow and inattentive that people were sitting down, waiting and giving up after 10 minutes and just leaving. He would walk by a new customer, drop off food or take an order from another table and completely ignore others. The food and drinks are worth the less than stellar service, I just wish it we could get there without having to go into the park. But if you're already in EPCOT, this place is a must.

Decided to try to "Drink Around the World" at Epcot. We decided to save the best for last....Mexico. We had already heard good things about La Cava del Tequila. We were not disappointed!! Avocado Margarita - amazeballs. Jalapeño Margarita - amazeballs. Blood Orange Margarita - amazeballs. We had the trio dip combo, and you guessed it....amazeballs. Totally recommend, a must-visit!!!

This is a really nice place, and I am definitely keeping it on the list of places I'll be making return visits to. I stopped in, while "drinking around the world." I grabbed a shot of tequila and a classic margarita to go. I find the decor in these EPCOT restaurants is almost as much of the appeal as the food. They have absolutely amazing attention to detail. The bartender was very helpful, since they had a ton of different tequilas, I didn't want to just have a shot of something I can get in any bar at home. So he showed me a few different choices and gave a brief explanation of each of them... I forget the name of the one I ended up going with, but it was very smooth and tasty. I grabbed my margarita and headed out to the next stop on the world tour of drinks!

I love Epcot but I get grumpy in crowds. Hence, this is usually my first stop upon arriving at the park. Amazing what a little tequila will do to improve my disposition. I always go for one of the margaritas. I'm working my way through the list and have proclaimed almost every selection thus far as my favorite at one time or another. This weekend the avocado was what got me through the heat and throngs of Food and Wine revelers with a smile on my face. It's my new favorite! The place is usually jam packed with people but tables turn over quickly or you can always grab something at the bar and walk off. Definitely worth a visit.

Good selection and variety of margaritas, but both that I tasted were good, not great. My jalapeno margarita was heavy on the cucumber taste. Depending on what you're looking for, they are an alternative to the frozen margaritas that Disney serves throughout the parks and that come from a machine. Love that they're active on Twitter, though, and they've started to offer discounts to their followers on Margarita Mondays.

  • Joe J.

The best place in Epcot to get away from the crowds and relax. The staff are all real nice and will answer and any questions you have about tequila. You can follow La cava on twitter and get an excellent deal on pours their own tequila which is very good.

I can't believe I haven't written a review of this place. Well, let me just say that this is hands-down the best drinking experience in Orlando. The drinks are perfectly crafted, sublimely inspired, and absolutely delicious. If they are serving it, start with the margarita flight. Best of all, once you've had your fill, you can go on Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros!

Great little spot to escape the heat, humidity or rain. Good selection of tequila and for a real experience splurge on either the Gran Patron Burdeos or the flight of higher end tequila's; some of the smoothest you will find.

Great Margaritas - but strong. With nothing but breakfast in my stomach - I got a bit tipsy from drinking only one. How sad is that - getting drunk on one Margarita in Disney. Needless to say - we found food quick - so I didn't make too much of a fool of myself :-) PS - Even though the drinks were really good - they were not cheap. $30 for two...I thought I was back in NYC.

  • Allie C.

I give this 4 stars because every time I shovel out 12.50-13.00 bucks plus tip(which makes there drinks a solid 18 bucks for me, and knocks a star off for affordability) for my amazing amazing drink.. amazing that is every time, I am drunk by the time we round the corner to Norway. I'm no light weight, these guys are just great tenders. Atmosphere is great, Everyone at the bar is always super sweet and quick to respond. And well, it's so hard to find a drink this good anywhere else in town, and by the time you start to feel it, you have spent more than you would here. Takes the edge off when dealing with all those tourist that wonder around so lost in magical translation.

How could the Mexico Pavilion get any better...add a tequila bar!!! I know it has been a year since it has been open, but it never gets old. The specialty margaritas are Phenomenal!! My favorite is the Blood Orange Margarita! And it is topped with this blood orange foam! And one that is totally worth a try is the Avocado Margarita. The put chunks of avocado, tons of tequila and Midori! It gives more of a smoothie feel to it and is kinda filling, but it kills!! I love it! But be ready to spend a good $13...but in Disney terms...that isn't to high. Now...if you are not feeling the fantastic salt rimmed bev, go for the Long Island Iced Tea! OMG!!!! by the time you make it to Norway, you will be loving the world and every tourist who walks by! So delicious and very strong! This is one of my mamas favorites! Great atmosphere. Not very large, but that makes it so cozy! This is a must do every time I go to Epcot!

It was raining so hard in the late afternoon at Ecopt so we give this place a try. Surpringly, this is probably the best dinner I had in my recent Orlando trip. I had the sangria which was amazingly delicious. They just get it right, not too sweet and not so strong. They offer you a bucket of chips, guac and salsa. Yummy! We ordered the chicken tostadas and beef tenderloin. We liked the chicken tostadas more. The chicken meat was so flavorable with a pinch of lime juice. The tostadas was so crunchy! The food was amazing. Great atmosphere.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I go to Disney often, and my favorite park has to be EPCOT, it's amazing and so is this place! I love all their margarita's! My sister has the avocado and loves it, I personally like the Wild Passion and the Blood Orange. Their pineapple is also so good, honestly they all are. If you want a shot, try the ultimate almond tequila, so delicious! The food inside is also really good, I think they change it up every so often but anything is delicious and the staff is just amazing. Pepe at the bar is a great bartender, but honestly everyone there is!

Ok so I totally LOVE this place. Who would have thought that Disney world has a place for individuals to get shchwasted??! Not me!! La Cava Del Tequila is a cozy little bar that is supposed to represent Oaxaca, Mexico. They offer MANY types of Tequlia, Mezcal, and mixed drinks such as their delicious Wild passion fruit Margarita. It gets totally packed in here so you if your lucky enough to find a table cool, but if not you find a spot at the bar or high tables to rest your drink/app while chatting up with different amigos and consuming your Mexican heaven! There is no waiter service so you order what ever you want at the bar and than find a spot to chill. They only offer chips and Guac, salsa, or Queso as far as food goes. Me and my friends returned to Epcot on 3 separate occasions just to come back for the strong ass Margaritas and guac with tortillas. The Guac is so fresh. The tortilla chips are warm and crispy. The wild passion fruit Margarita is very sweet and loaded with tequila, but the flavors of the drink really disguise the tequila well, and take over... its sooo friggen good. The Wild Passion fruit margarita was $12.50 and chips and guac $7. For Disney world these are very fair and affordable prices even for those on a budget. I learned a lot of things in here about tequila. First off there are over 1000 brands. There are five main classifications: Blanco, Gold, Reposado, Anejo, and Extra Anejo. Silver tequila also known as Blanco is the purest type of tequila. It's clear because it isn't aged, and can be bottled right after distillation. Some Blanco products are aged for up to 2 months to provide a smoother spirit. Next is Gold Tequila. It's usually a mix of colorants and flavorings that have been added before bottling. These Tequilas are less expensive and used in many bars and restaurants for mixed drinks (i.e. jose cuervo yukk!). Gold Tequila has some exceptions where it may be the result of blending a Silver Tequila with a Reposado and/or Añejo Tequila, while keeping the Agave classification 100%. Tequila Reposado is kind of goldish in color, and must be aged more than two months but less than a year. Agave and wood flavors are tasted in this type since it is stored in wood barrels for aging. Anejo (extra aged) type of Tequila must be aged for at least one year. Its hue is usually Amber. Lastly the most expensive type of Tequila: Extra Anejo (Ultra Aged) means it must be aged at least 3+ years. This is a newer category. The color is darkest and has a Mahogany hue. Now that you got a lesson and a review all in one I URGE you to trek your ass to Disney World, hit up Epcot, walk allll the way to mexico... up the steps and inside the San Angel inn, make your way through the indoor night sky, down the steps and around the fountain....keep going...NOW DRINK and beeeeeeee Merry!!!

Nice little addition to Mexico. There are about a gazillion different tequilas shelved providing a great photo op even if you don't order a drink here. I had the avocado margarita. There was not much alcohol in it but it was good nonetheless.

If it wasn't so expensive, it would get 5 stars. I love tequila, and they have a lot of it. You may have places to sample various tequilas around you, but I don't, so it's always a treat for me. Food is limited, with small portions, and very good. Discovered a new favorite tequila on my last visit - Los Azulejos Anejo. Give it a try if you like Anejos.

I went to Disney World last month to meet up with my parents and my brothers family, while visiting the Happiet Place on Earth we discovered what surely is teh second Happiest Place on Earth and that was bar in Mexico. LaCava del Tequila, like its name is completely devoted to tequilas. In fact they have over 100 different tequilas on hand to try and try you must. Granted I was preggers so I couldn't taste any tequila but my hubby did so and even though I didn't get to partake I still had fun because everyone around me was having fun! Who wouldn't with over a 100 choices of liquid libation? Hubby decided to have a tasting and really, for $15 who could pass up a little platter of 4 different kinds of tequila? Not hubby. So I watched as he took not 1 but 4 different gulps of tequila and surprisingly the one he wasn't lookign forward to was the best. The one with ceviche. Anyhow, if you need a little break from the kids for some adult fun definately, check this cava out while at Epcot!

I honestly almost missed this place. I challenged myself to have a drink in each country and drink around the world when I was in EPCOT and the Mexican pavillion provided my favorite drink/ambiance/etc. When you first walk into the pavillion, you literally feel like you're in Mexico...I mean, if I had ever been to Mexico before...alas..it's all that I pictured it to be. In an attempt to finish my drink that I had brought over from Norway, I walked around the little pavillion and off to the right in a bar corner, something drew me in. It was La Cava del Tequila. I quickly sucked down my Norweigian beer and headed straight in. There were at least 75 types of tequila and to see all of the bottles behind the shelf gave me scary flashbacks of college tequila experiences. I watched a few groups of people getting tequila sampler shots, and I was tempted...but I still had 3 countries after Mexico to hit, so I decided on the blood orange, hibiscus margarita on the rocks, the Naranja Roja. It was $12.50 and worth every penny. Also, I truly enjoyed this bar because it was a hole in the wall, but at the same time, was classy, chic and had that old world Mexico feeling to it.....ok, I've never been to Mexico but seriously....if you're in Epcot, and need to escape..this is the perfect place.

A nice surprise in Epcot. I went with a group of 10 and we had fantastic service -- on a hot day, the water glasses kept coming, as did the chips and salsa refills. I tried a cucumber margarita, which was perfect on a 90-degree day. It also had mint leaves in it, making it a cross between a margarita and a mojito. My partner had a pomegrante margarita, which was also very tasty.

WOW! What a little gem tucked into the wall inside the big pyramid in Epcot's Mexican exhibit! I'm so tickled when I find a place in the Disney Resort that is so cool and not at all "kiddy." Disney has done it again with attention to every little detail. My only complaint is that the place isn't bigger (and it closes when Epcot closes!) A fantastic selection of tequila and simply amazing hand-crafted margaritas. Try the blood orange or the pineapple. Not at all as sweet and girly as you would think they would be. JUST RIGHT.

if you are looking to have an adult time in epcot, go here. the menu is awesome and they have something even for the finest of all tastes of liqueur connoisseur. be aware though, sitting in those comfy chairs or couches, nibbling on chips and guac, you will not notice how much tequila shots effect you until you get up and suddenly have no shame trying on every single sombrero in the court yard market place. and wow, suddenly the tres amigos ride in the mexican pavilion becomes a hell of a lot more fun.

My wife and I found this gem the last time we went to Epcot and what a Gem it was.... Didn't know what to expect when we walked in but you cant go wrong with Tequila. Sure as heck found a fantastic Tequila that we now enjoy at home " CORZO " Unbelievable... The staff was very attentive and the ambiance was nice and cozy. We both left with huge smiles on our faces feeling like we just found hidden treasure. Can't wait to go back now at the 2011 Food and Wine Festival..

Great Tequila bar with a big selection. I've tried the flight & a blood orange margarita & really enjoyed them. It is pricey but you're getting quality tequila plus it's in Disney World so you have to expect it to be expensive.

Went here during food and wine festival so the margarita flight is not available : ( but the tequila flight is : ) crowded yes confusing yes expensive yes but after a flight of tequila and a cucumber margarita (a destination drink) this place really is what is needed to calm the Disney soul.

OK maybe it's because I really love Mexican food or maybe because it was my first night out after 60+ hours of work in 4 days, but whatever it was I loved this place! I had been to the Mexico portion of Epcot a few times in my life, mostly with my grandparents as a child, but this was the first time as an adult and I had so much fun. A few coworkers and I had been working our asses off and boy were we ready to cut loose. The evening started with tequila shots and margaritas. Jalapeno margaritas to be exact. And they were so delicious I couldn't stop myself. Before we knew it we were toasting to everything you could possibly imagine, and were so drunk we had forgotten what we ordered to eat until the food showed up! The food was amazing, at least my meal was. I had some seafood appetizer on tostadas (crab and lobster or was is it shrimp and lobster?) and for dinner carne asada tacos. Too full for dessert by the end, we drunkenly wandered around the gift shop area putting on giant sombreros and ogling the trinkets. The night came to a close with us pretending to be strippers on the monorail poles and all thanks to Epcot's Mexican restaurant!

Come and genuflect at the Tequila Temple of the Gods. Hail Epcot, hallowed by thy name. Order two avocado margaritas, a tamarindo margarita, with a jalapeno-cucumber margarita chaser. Rinse out your mouth with their RIDIC jalapeno-white cheddar queso and their stunning guac. Go, go, go. Worship at the altar of yum.

If you have never stopped in at the Mexico Pavilion and made a left after the walkway into this little hidden gem you are missing out. It is the best bar in Epcot hands down. It is sometimes hard to get into, but if you manage to get a table be ready for the best guacamole and tequila Disney has to offer. I forced friends of mine to stop during a visit to Epcot. Everyone was tired and worn out from a day in the parks. I explained this place was worth it. With much cajoling and a promise of paying for the first round we walked in. It wasn't busy for a change. I quickly ordered guacamole, margaritas, and a flight of tequila. Almost immediately my friends understood what I was talking about. This place is about relaxing. I will say the tables are very close together, but in a way that is a good thing. We struck up friendly conversations with the tables around us. (This always happens, but it adds to the charm of the place). This is not a place to rush into and rush out of. It is just a nice place to sit back and enjoy. The service is fast and friendly. Due to the size of the place and the tight seating it may be difficult for large groups or families with strollers to find comfortable, but small groups, couples, and even individuals will love this place. It is pricey, but remember you are in Epcot. My friends have all returned home and after a week at Disney they all say this place was one of the best places they went during their whole trip. If you are in Epcot and need a place to unwind or if you are drinking "around the world" you have to stop here. You won't regret it.

I can't believe Disney created this spot. When I come to EPCOT, I know I'm a tourist. I'm also an adult who would like to try an adult experience while on vacation. La Cava del Tequila nails it. If all you drink is Starbucks, you are by no means a coffee connoisseur. I was given for my birthdaythatshallnotbespoken a bottle of Jose Cuervo Reserva de la familia. In Mexico, the most traditional way to drink tequila is neat, without lime and salt. A good tequila can be almost like a good scotch. La Cava del Tequila has multiple Tequilas in this category. I explain to the beautiful Mexican bartender I have bottle of Jose Cuervo Reserva de la familia at home. I'd like to try a premium Tequila, not something for the masses. It's not that I don't appreciate the Patron/Herradura/Avion/Don Julio/Cabo Wabos, I'm looking to try something different. Sure enough, I'm served a neat Tequila that made my toes curl. Amazing and complex flavors that's not in a shot glass or salted rimmed glass. Tequila is meant to be fun! After a while, your tastes change and fun to me doesn't equate to cheap tasting liquor. I did see a couple order a tequila cocktail with whipped cream on top. Hey, if that's what your into its cool with me. La Cava del Tequila serves many different drinks, its for everyone. To the Disney folks that brought this spot to life in the Mexico pavilion, this DVC owner thanks you. Please use my review to plan out your vacation. Cheers!

Be sure and read my previous (more thorough) review below. I just wanted to write a quick follow-up and say thank you to Fran and Jaime for another terrific visit. You guys continue to impress! As for everyone else who's thinking of visiting. I like to think of La Cava del Tequila as adult daycare. Wives can take great comfort in knowing they can safely drop their husbands off here for the afternoon...Upon retrieving your husband, you'll find him much more cooperative and willing to check out all those little places in Epcot he was once less receptive to! Here at La Cava del Tequila, we return as better men. It's true...husbands learn stuff here (about tequila) and make new friends (while drinking tequila) and we get to practice our social skills (while drinking tequila) with others. There's even snack-time where we can order nachos and salsa (while drinking tequila) so you don't have to worry about us being hungry and stuff... All in all, this place performs a community service. Check your husband in at the bar where he'll be cared for by a kind and considerate staff as you go off and do whatever wives do at Epcot... -Neil NOTE: Of course La Cava is excellent for all! Read my previous, more insightful (and slightly more sober) review below.

Amazing, some of the best margarita's around. There are also pages upon pages of tequila shots. Try one, or two, or five, lol. I had the blood orange margarita (they had me at blood orange) and it was really good. My g/f got the jalapeño margarita, it was good but it was way too spicy for me. And like most theme park these margarita/mixed drinks, they aren't watered down at all they are amazing.

For my 100th review, my favorite spot in Disney World can be found at Epcot. I love La cava del tequila and you will, too. This visit, we weren't able to get a seat, so we waited at the bar and tried a tequila sampler and a cucumber margarita. Loved the tequila sampler! For me, the cucumber margarita was good, but sweet. I'd probably try a different one next time. The service is always good, although the place was packed this weekend and when you go up to the bar, it's definitely not a leisurely stay. The chips, salsa, guac and queso are very good. Will definitely be back. Don't walk, run to Mexico in Epcot and enjoy. I wish I could join you.

Avocado margarita and queso are the best! Don't wait in line for the bar. You can almost always sit in the cave with very little wait time.

This is a very very small tequila bar/cantina for the amount of people that go through this area of the park. It's located in the Mexico pavilion. There's always a line outside to just walk through the bar and order a drink. If you want to sit down, there's almost always a long wait. Despite the crowd, it always gives you a very authentic feeling of a cantina...the decorations are great, very colorful, the ceilings are low and it's dark. The perfect setting for a round of tequila shots. The variety of tequila is impressive, it's pricey but so is everything at Disney. I love getting the different flights of tequila. They'll even make up some custom ones depending on what you ask. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always have suggestions in regards to taste, process of making it and what goes together. The margaritas are also on point. I'm a big fan of margarita's on the rocks but what I find in most mexican restaurants is that they'll serve the classic margarita on the rocks but all the specialty flavors are usually frozen. Not here...:). I absolutely love their wild passion fruit margarita, their pomegranate one, and the blood orange one (served with a spicy rim). Their chips and dip are also great! I recommend the guacamole...it's got a kick!

This location is located inside the Mexico pavilion, at Epcot. The reason it got a 4 for me is because it is extremely small! On busy days, it is almost impossible to get a table. During any big event like food and wine, just forget it. They have a que line. You can do two things in here, just go to the bar and get drinks or you can sit and order drinks. The bar makes different drinks then you can get outside the pavilion. My personal favorite is the avocado margarita. I personally feel that the drinks are stronger inside because they are made fresh as opposed to a giant vat. *Side note, they do cost more than outside. They also have more tequila then I knew even existed. Our favorite thing is to TRY and get a table and take a break. It is cool inside and a nice place to rest your tried feet. If you sit, there is a waitress or waiter that you can order from. You can also order chips, with either salsa, guacamole or queso. We like to do the trio with all three. This is a great place if you can get a table. I would say if you had a large group not to venture even looking for a table. It would be wonderful if they could expand this and have other appetizers as well. All in all, great place!

La Cava Del Tequila is a must stop while at EPCOT, it's nestled inside the Mexican Pavilion, it is a quaint little bar with more tequila than you can imagine. I'm a fan of everything from the staff to the food, and certainly the drinks. Things can get a little busy in the late afternoon, but it is worth the wait. All things considered, the process is fast versus the other restaurants around the park. My wife and I like a good basket of Chips and Salsa, and they deliver. I've seen several reviews that aren't exactly fair when pointing out prices, it is relative to EPCOT and good tequila - if it's a problem, then don't eat and drink! But, if you are going to spend on alcohol and food, this is a good spot. La Cava is regularly recognized as one of the top ten Tequila bars in america. With almost 100 different brands to choose from, there's something for everyone and every budget. I'll resist the urge to try and correct the numerous misconceptions about Tequila that exist, but suspect that's where a little sticker-shock can come from when people go stumbling in looking for a $5.00 shot of Cuervo. That said, if you're like most and simply looking for a fun and friendly introduction to tequila, try the $22.00 tequila flight. You'll get three 3/4 oz shots served on a paddle with a nice little glass of Sangrita. I can't think of how many people have approached me when I'm enjoying a flight and asked, "Hey, what is that?" I've yet to have anyone who ordered on my suggestion give me anything less than an enthusiastic 'thumbs-up' after trying one. You'll get a Blanco, a Repasado and a nice Anejo. Your bartender will also be more than happy to educate you on what you're sampling. Tequila has a rich and storied history so while you're escaping the heat of the day, you can actually learn a little something in the process. So, do yourself a favor, grab yourself a flight and ask the knowledgeable staff about what you're drinking and enjoy some Mexican food. Saludo! My wife really liked the wild passion fruit margarita.

After roaming around Epcot for awhile, the brood was starting to get HUNGRY. After a few failed attempts to grab some sustenance at a few other restaurant locations, everything was full, so we walk into La Cava del Tequilia, since we didn't need reservations.... As soon as we sat down, our brief relief was shattered....It may have just been 7:45. And they close at 8 pm. We were told our drinks would come out in to-go glasses. We ordered up some margaritas with a quickness, and about 10 of us begged with puppy dog eyes for just a little salsa, and they were super kind about it, and brought out a few dip trios (guac, salsa and queso) and we promised to be done in 10 mins.... Drinks were out in a flash! I had the jalapeno margarita... a nice amount of spice, but a little sweeter than I had expected. But it didn't matter, as it was much needed! Maybe it was from the hunger, but the salsa, queso and quac were fantastic! The guac was spicy... I loved that... it just needed a squeeze of citrus to make it pop, but we couldn't get enough. And the queso was highly addictive too. Mild, but savory, all of the trio did in fact disappear before we got the 5 minute warning. (Side note: I was seriously the last one at the table, shoveling my face with the very last bits of quac and queso...) All in all, success! But what I loved most about this tiny little cantina.... the chairs. They had painting of Frida Kahlo on most of the chairs. My inner nerd totally freaked out and I did take a pic... (She is one of my all time favorite artists...) Thank you for giving us a little ommph to get back out there and enjoy everything that is Epcot!

If I can put a ring on it and marry these beautiful margaritas I would! This is how serious it just got... So we've been to Epcot before and of-course this was way before I even knew what Yelp was. How could I have missed out on this deliciousness they call La Cava? Ok enough with the small talk lets get into the drinks. My wife and I stood in line for about 10-15 minutes which wasn't bad considering the Food and Wine Festival was on and in full force. We couldn't decide between The Passion Fruit or Avocado. Yep you guessed right we had both. The passion fruit wasn't too sweet and had the rim with TAJÍN, a Mexican seasoning, most consisting primarily of chile peppers, lime, and salt. The avocado was just perfect to quench your thirst when it was 95 degrees outside! The taste is near impossible to describe but it's amazing. Don't believe me, just read the rest of reviews and see how many people rave about the Avocado. I hope you enjoy one of these margaritas when you go to Mexico, Epcot!

I couldn't get enough of this place! I knew I was going too often when the bartender recognized me lol. I tried their much talked about avocado margarita, but I really did not like it. I couldn't taste any avocado at all and it was very strongly melon flavored. I also didn't like that it was frozen. Their wild passion fruit margarita was still delicious! Just the way I remembered it from last year. Very tropical and refreshing. The mango foam on top is the best! They seem to get really busy throughout the day here. Most of the time there is a line, but sometimes you can walk straight up to the bar. They are a bit pricey, but I feel like their drinks are definitely worth it. Its way better than the frozen margaritas at the booth outside the Mexican pavilion.

I really enjoy stopping by La Cava located in the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT Center on a hot afternoon for a gourmet Margarita. La Cava is just as it's name indicates a deep, dimly lit and intimate cave in the Pavilion. The serve a wide selection of tasty and creative margarita's as well as traditional appetizers. You can also order flights are Tequila which I highly recommend. If you happen to be there when they open and are the first customer to be seated that post your picture on Twitter and supply you with a free Queso Jalapeño appetite which is a nice treat. La Cava is a fun place to stop on a hit afternoon for a quick break of if you are drinking your way around the world at Epcot. Bottoms up!

It's a tequila cave - really? Great service though! For a group of 40 people ransacking the bar and getting shots and then leaving - they were very cordial. A couple of the waiters and waitresses got visibly annoyed - they must have never seen a gaggle of geeky guys/gals like that.

This tiny tequila bar is hidden in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. Look to the right when you enter, or you'll almost miss it. They have a bar where you can order drinks to-go, as well as a few tables and lounge chairs if you need to relax for a bit from the heat. When I visited during the peak season in June, there was no wait to get in and we were served right away -- two hour line for Test Track, hour and a half for Mission: Space, and NO WAIT for tequila! They offer an impressive selection of tequila, as well as a variety of margaritas. Our waiter mentioned that one of the favorites was the blood orange margarita; however, it was a bit sweet for my taste. I recommend both the avocado and cucumber ones! The menu also has a few light bar snacks. Who can resist chips and salsa? Try the guac too! As a word of advice, there's no bathroom in Mexico pavilion, so if you break the seal too early, run over to Norway. If you're drinking around the world at Epcot, be sure to stop by!

Two rounds of shots for 5 people. Two beers, two margaritas, = $230. It's a good thing we ended, well semi-ended our drinking around the world tour here prior to dinner. We picked it back up in England after we were done with dinner, and dessert in Morocco, and France respectively. It's a good thing we arrived just when a large party was getting up. Space is pretty limited here, especially for large parties. At the end of the day the girls were happy with their margaritas and we were feeling just right for dinner.

Do you like Tequila? Do you like drinking at Epcot inside somewhere that you can sit down and be out of the heat and/or rain? If you said yes to either of those questions, this place is for you. We found a place with no kids and delicious, strong, original drinks! Bueno! I had the avocado margarita and it was so flippin' delicious! It was 'frozen', but really seemed more like a smoothy. It was cold and creamy, not icy and full of ice chunks. This drink really was incredible. We also got chips and guac. The chips were tasty and the quac was fresh, though I found it to be too spicy for my taste. When I return to Epcot, this will be a must-do stop for drinks.

In the context of WDW, this little hideaway is a welcomed respite from mayhem outside. Tucked inside the Mexican 'Pyramid' this nook offers 50+ kinds of tequila & mezcals including flights which is a great way to try new varietals. They even provide sangrita with the flight as a palate cleanser which is a sign of an authentic place. The also offer snacks...we went for the three amigos: guacamole, salsa & cheese dip which was (somewhat) surprisingly fresh n delicious! Just remember friends...good tequila is NOT a shot, it's meant to be sipped!

Don't go here. You don't need amazing guacamole. You don't need better chips and salsa than you will get in Mexico. You don't need a fun, adult atmosphere that really feels like an escape within an escape. You don't want to chat with servers who are helpful and friendly and will educate you on tequila. You don't desire the best margarita in the world....the avocado margarita. NO- Don't go here. Go ride the boat ride and try on the big hats. Carry on. (I think this Jedi mind trick is working!!) No more people need to go here...the line is long enough ;)

  • Thomas N.

First and foremost, this place is a TOURIST TRAP. Their drinks are EXPENSIVE. The lines are LONG. The atmosphere is like Senior Frog's during SPRING BREAK. Ohhh...what the hell...I'm ON VACATION! About their drinks... avocado margarita = meh, people rave about it online but it has no taste of avocado whatosever. It's mostly MELON. wild passion fruit margarita = if you want to know what a pinata of tropical fruit flavors feels like exploding in your mouth...then, THIS IS IT. And that's all that I've tried because I'm in a Catch-22 where I can't decide between "trying something new and being disappointed" or "getting something that I know is like a tropical fruit pinata bomb in your mouth." And the drinks are so expensive, it doesn't leave you much room for much else. However, if you don't have the money for these drinks then just walk back to the French quarter and go fishing for change in their water fountain.

This is probably the best spot in all of Disney. If you are a fan of margaritas or just tequila, it doesn't get any better than this in the Orlando area. The cover is a little pricey at $100 to get into Epcot, but in some respects, it's almost worth it just to go here. If you're visiting Orlando in the intense heat of the late spring, this is also a great stop to get out of the sun for a while. La Cava is just a small room off to the side of Mexico's bodega. From the outside you can see the bartenders furiously trying to keep up with the long to go line. Various unique and mysterious tequilas adorn the back of the bar. Because it is Epcot, and most folks are trying to experience everything, the turnover is relatively quick so you don't seem to have to wait long to get a seat. We were seated within 5 minutes, and was able to grab a small 2 seater and trade off our daughter between our laps. A little tight, but worked for us! The tequila list is long and deep with a lot of varieties. We were there for the margaritas, and tried a couple different kinds, including the Jalepeno and Cucumber. The former wasn't too spicy...would have liked a little more bite for my taste, though the tajin salt rim helped provide a little more taste to it. The latter was exceptionally smooth. The menu is pretty much just drinks, though they do offer a couple snack items. We grabbed the chips and dips which included salsa, queso and guac. A great option to balance out the margaritas. I highly recommend checking this out, especially before you go to the La Fiesta ride - listening to Donald and his buddies quacking their brains out a lot more bearable after a couple tasty margaritas, let me tell you.

La Cava del Tequila is an Epcot treasure! We knew it was in Epcot, but it is a little difficult to find, we found it looking for a ride. We ordered 3 margaritas and were very happy. Avocado, blood orange and traditional. They were all 3 like no other margarita we have ever had (and we are margarita drinkers). The bar is cool and cave like, a good place to sit out of the sun and enjoy an adult beverage. Our son got a soda and played his Nintendo, happy for a break of walkig all day. I will visit again, you should too, but go early (we were there aroung 4pm) before the long lines started forming.

Stop #1 on our Drinking Around the World adventure at Epcot... Amazing selection of tequilas, crafty margaritas, fun cocktails, and tasty food! A friend swears by the Avocado Margarita and "made me" order one... Sounds odd and I was a little hesitant to try it, but it was delicious! Hubby's margarita was really good as well. He downed a Pineapple Margarita pretty quickly For food/snack: Trio Combo Tortilla chips served with salsa, queso, and guacamole. All very good!!

We always try to stop here in the Mexican pavilion for tequila tasting, an avocado margarita or avocado dip and chips. The bar tenders were great! On my last visit I came with a recommendation to try a certain tequila. Little did I know it was a $30 shot ( thanks for the recommendation buddy ) It was pretty good and in one of of the biggest shots I've seen. My wife loved the avocado margarita blended in with fresh avocados... Who'd a thunk avocado in a margarita but it worked. The avocado dip and chips is a must. The chips are standard but the dip was really good. Just remember only the novice "high school" tequila drinkers slam their drinks. Good tequilas are meant for sipping.

This place is located in the Mexico pavilion inside the large Mayan building. It is definitely worth seeking out. It may be the best margarita bar around, even better than any margarita served in Mexico. They have a huge selection of tequilas, and the prices aren't through the roof. I chose a pricey shot of tequila, and the bartender definitely provided me with a 2+ ounce poor.

This is a hidden gem inside Disney World. The margaritas are delicious and unique. We didn't eat here...just stopped in for a drink. The bartender was lovely and very accommodating, I ordered the avocado margarita and was not disappointed. It was delicious. I couldn't decide between the blood orange or horchata, so the bar tender made me a sample of the one I didn't order so I could still try. My friend ordered the jalapeño and all three were great. They'll also make micheladas ever though they're not on the menu!

I can see why people love this place and I always make it a point to stop in here when I'm at EPCOT. It's within the dimly lit and very cool Mexico building and the ambiance is very inviting and creates a great escape from the bright Florida sun. The margaritas aren't cheap but are definitely worth the price as they are extremely well-made with multiple options and a ton of tequilas to choose from. I haven't eaten any of the appetizers there, mostly because it's always way too crowded to grab a seat. The biggest downside is just that. The place is not at all a secret so the line is always long and there is always a wait for a table given the seating area is tiny. That being said, it will continue to be a "must" stop during my future visits. Hopefully, one of these times I can grab a seat and try the guac.

Calling all margarita and tequila lovers! What can I say this was an awesome place to stop at and grab some margaritas this year during the food and wine fest. They have so many different tequilas to choose from and many different types of margaritas from classic to pomegranate.. You name it. Im deducting a star because the line was ridiculously long and we had to keep asking each other 'do you think this is going to be worth the wait?' Classic margarita (with patron) was $19 just to give you an idea of the price ranges. Will definitely come back when we're in Epcot again!

Weather had turned a bit cool and rainy on the January Monday afternoon we were at Epcot. What better place to duck into than a cozy tequila bar in the Mexican pavilion? There was no sign up, but it appeared to be a seat-yourself place. The bar was crowded with people standing. Not us, it was way too good of an opportunity to get off those tired feet. A comfy couch awaited our derrieres. Husband tried the Pomegranate Margarita which is described as: Milagro Silver Tequila, orange liquor, agave nectar, pomegranate liquor, pineapple, lime juice, served on the rocks with a hibiscus Himalayan salt rim for $14.50. Alhough torn between a couple, I couldn't resist the Blood Orange Margarita: Tequila, orange liqueur, sweet-tart mix of blood orange juice, topped with wild berry foam, served on the rocks with a Tajin chili powder rim for $13.00. We were offered chips and salsa but were way too full from dining in Italy earlier, so we just had the two drinks, which we both really enjoyed. Husband's was much sweeter and more fruit-punch tasting than mine. At first I feared the wild berry foam was going to be too sweet and thick (looked that way when it came out), but it was much lighter than it looked. And while I love the chili powder rim, it quickly became too salty for me. Would have much preferred pure spice without the salt. Wonderful place to relax and have a drink in the World Showcase! Warning though! We were told the only bathrooms in the pavilion were for guests dining. They are past the dining room. (which maybe you can talk your way into as a tequila-drinking guest, I don't know, didn't try). The next closest restroom is between Mexico and Norway. That and the fact that neither of us got even a teeny tiny tequila buzz are my reasons for 4 vs. 5 stars.

An awesome experience. My review will be brief, as I had already been drinking around the world before both of my two trips there (I like to start in the UK and work counter clockwise, so sue me) and my memory isn't exactly perfect. The first time was doing the Food & Wine festival and they were doing the VIP tequila tasting (I can't remember if they do this all the time or just for F&W). I'm not a fan of tequila, in fact, I pretty much hate it, straight anyway. I wasn't thrilled when we had a multitude of shots in front of us, but the hostess explained perfectly how to take them so that we didn't feel any burn. Also included was a mezcal shot, which tasted like a burnt tire, but was certainly worth it for the experience. The second time, we just ordered menu margaritas and they were among the best I've ever had. Maybe it was their synergy with the margaritas, maybe it was just Disney magic, but even the tortilla chips seemed much better than the average. If you at the World Showcase, I highly recommend it.

Great place inside the Mexico section of Epcot. We stopped by for a thirty minute break and got some nonalcoholic drinks and chips with guacamole to hold us over before dinner. Perfect place to get out of the heat and recharge.

This is always my first stop when coming to Epcot. Here's the reasons I love it: 1) you just walk in and find a seat...no frills relaxed approach 2) delicious and vast selection of tequila and margaritas 3) the combo trio with salsa, and huge portions of white cheese dip and guac is sooooo good. We always save our stomachs for Epcot so this takes the edge off and kick starts the international culinary experience that Epcot offers perfectly 4) prompt service Just so good. Period.

Throughout much of my training for the WDW marathon I thought about the ice cold margarita I would have after the race. I had decided to stop drinking alcohol, aside from the occasional glass or wine or beer, during the latter part of my training. I didn't even know if any Disney park offered liquor but I knew a cocktail was in my future post-race. After dinner at a restaurant in Epcot, we found this tequila bar and it was filled with marathon finishers. A quick glance through their expansive drink menu and I knew the mango margarita was the one for me. It was cold, refreshing with a nice balance of spicy, salty, sour and sweet. They are rather generous with the tequila in their cocktails. The bar has seating inside and outside, with many patrons standing on the night of my visit. In fact it was the most crowded bar we found throughout Epcot. I guess a glass of wine isn't going to cut it when celebrating crossing that finish line. Everyone was really friendly and having a great time. My friends and I finished our drinks fairly quickly and a couple even ordered another drink. Then we decided it would be a great idea to hop on a ride so we settled for the one closest to the bar. It was a ride meant of all ages, similar to It's a Small World, but with a Donald Duck in Mexico theme. Thank goodness we ended up in the last two rows of the last boat because we were LOUD and others might not have found us to be as funny as we thought we were. This bar is definitely worth a visit.

Although it's 99% of the time a super crazy packed mess, I love this place, and the fact that it's always busy because it just adds to the excitement and experience. Definitely a place for adults, only.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
